PRODUCT OVERVIEW: The Architect’s Custom Edge-Lit Sign provides a slim profile combined with attractive finishing options that blend well with architectural spaces. Easy installation, universal mounting configurations and numerous graphics make the Architect’s Custom Edge-Lit Sign both a specification product and an electrical contractor favorite.

CONSTRUCTION: All housing components are premium die-cast aluminum construction. A range of housing finishes are available. A bar hanger bracket kit is standard for recessed applications. The Architect’s Custom Edge-Lit panel is manufactured from high impact acrylic and silk-screened using computer generated artwork.

ILLUMINATION: Illumination of the Architect’s Custom Edge-Lit panel is accomplished with the use of high-brightness white LEDs in an optical array offering even illumination.

BATTERY TECHNOLOGY: This model is offered in AC only.

INSTALLATION: Universal mounting configurations include recessed ceiling mount, surface ceiling mount, surface end mount and surface wall mount. Surface mount configurations mount to a 3.5” octagonal junction box.

Question : What does 120/277v mean?
Answer : 120/277 refers to the line voltage that the exit sign can operate on. 120 refers to residential and small commercial line voltage while 220 refers to commercial and office building line voltage. The main point is that our exit signs will work in either situation so you don’t need to worry about the functionality. We recommend using a licensed electrician or maintenance professional to install exit signs, emergency lights and other safety egress equipment.
Question : What is and do I need the battery backup option?
Answer : The battery backup option provides emergency battery power to illuminate your exit sign or emergency light in case of a fire, earthquake, or other emergency that causes a power outage. You must have the battery backup model if you DO NOT have a generator that provides emergency power to your facility.
Question : How do the “EXIT” letters on the Edge-Lit types of exit signs illuminate?
Answer : The light source is LED and is contained within the housing (surface or recessed). The LEDs are on a strip that is aligned with the top of the acrylic EXIT panel. The light from the LED strip shoots through acrylic panel, illuminating the word EXIT.
