PRODUCT OVERVIEW:

Greentorch LED MR16’s are ultra energy-efficient LED bulbs that provide powerful light in multiple color temperatures. Our LED MR16’s can replace standard 20 to 30-watt Halogen MR16’s and only use between 1 and 3 watts of electricity, an energy reduction of approximately 90%.

Greentorch LEDs are perfect for both new construction and retrofit installation. Multiple base types (E27, GX5.3, and GU10) accommodate almost every type of standard connection. The LED MR16 is rated for a 50,000-hour lifespan when operated in an ambient temperature environment.

Beam angles of 15º, 30º, 45º, and 60º are offered. Color temperatures include Warm White (3000 Kelvin), Natural White (4000 Kelvin), and Cool White (5000 Kelvin); RGB colors are available as well. Overall, the Greentorch LED MR16 combines a high-end aesthetic with unrivaled light color, quality, and power.

CONSTRUCTION: The LED MR16 is made from recyclable aluminum housing and CREE LEDs.

ILLUMINATION: One to three powerful 1.0 watt CREE LEDs provide illumination in colors of warm, natural, and cool white (other colors available upon request). Light output is between 125 and 250 lumens. Beam angles of 15º, 30º, 45º, and 60º are offered.



INSTALLATION: 12V models come standard with bi-pin GX5.3 base. 12V models are also available with GU10 base. 120-240v AC models come standard with E27 medium base.

ELECTRICAL SPECIFICATIONS: 1 to 3-watt electrical consumption. AC/DC 12V and 100-240V (50~60Hz). Minimal heat production. Operating Temperature is 0~50°C. Humidity: 0~90% non-condensed.

Question : What is CRI?
Answer : CRI stands for Color Rendering Index, which is used to determine a light’s accuracy in rendering different colors when compared to a reference light source with the same correlated color temperature. The index ranges from 0 for a low-pressure sodium vapor lamp, to 100 for a source like an incandescent light bulb. The higher the CRI, the better the visual perception of colors.
Question : What is CCT?
Answer : CCT stands for Correlated Color Temperature which relates to the spectral properties of a light source. Color temperature is measured in degrees Kelvin. Low color temperature implies warmer light whereas high color temperature implies a colder light.
Question : Why is the impact of heat on an LED?
Answer : As small as LEDs are, their circuitry generates significant amounts of heat that must be dissipated. So, when you look at our LED bulbs you can see that we have built in aluminum heat sinks to dissipate that heat. For these heat sinks to work correctly and to get the maximum product lifespan, our LED bulbs must be operated in ambient (room) temperature environments. Placing our LED products in cans or other types of enclosed housings that increase the ambient temperature can cause them to overheat and decrease product lifespan, which is not covered under our LED warranty. Question : What is an LED?
Answer : LED stands for Light Emitting Diode. LEDs produce light differently, and more efficiently, than incandescent and fluorescent lamp types. LEDs emit light when an electric current is applied to a semiconducting chip. When electrons and holes (charge-carriers) interact, the electrons give off light and fall into a lower energy state. These chips have evolved to be capable of producing powerful, efficient light, capable of over 100 lumens per watt. LED color quality has also evolved, allowing us to match the colors and dimmability of incandescent lamps.
