Product Characteristics

PRODUCT OVERVIEW:

Our PAR 20 LED bulb is one of the newest additions to our popular LED PAR line. The Greentorch PAR 20 is versatile enough to be suitable for both track and recessed can lighting.

Comparable to a 40 watt incandescent PAR 20 bulb, our LED version puts out 270 lumens of light, while only consuming 9 watts of electricity. Incandescent PAR 20's only last 2,000 hours but our LED PAR 20, like all of our PAR Series LED bulbs, is rated for a 50,000 hour lifespan (that’s a 10+ year lifespan operating at 12 hours per day!). Incandescent PAR 20's only last 2,000 hours.

Three powerful 3.0-watt LED’s produce a powerful light, which is available in a warm white (2700 Kelvin) color temperature.

CONSTRUCTION: Recyclable aluminum housing , CREE LEDs , and thermoplastic components.

ILLUMINATION: Three powerful 3.0 watt Nichia LEDs produce a warm, sunset colored light equivalent to a 2700 Kelvin color temperature. Light output is 30 lumens; 33 lumens per watt.

INSTALLATION: Connects using standard E-27 medium base.

ELECTRICAL SPECIFICATIONS: 9-watt electrical consumption. AC 100-240V (50~60Hz). Minimal heat production. Operaing Temperature is 0~50 °C. Humidity: 0~90% non-condensed.

CODE COMPLIANCE: RoHS

Question : What is CCT?
Answer : CCT stands for Correlated Color Temperature which relates to the spectral properties of a light source. Color temperature is measured in degrees Kelvin. Low color temperature implies warmer light whereas high color temperature implies a colder light.
Question : Why is the impact of heat on an LED?
Answer : As small as LEDs are, their circuitry generates significant amounts of heat that must be dissipated. So, when you look at our LED bulbs you can see that we have built in aluminum heat sinks to dissipate that heat. For these heat sinks to work correctly and to get the maximum product lifespan, our LED bulbs must be operated in ambient (room) temperature environments. Placing our LED products in cans or other types of enclosed housings that increase the ambient temperature can cause them to overheat and decrease product lifespan, which is not covered under our LED warranty. To help you avoid this, we will gladly help you find the right product for your application/installation. We sell a number of LED lights that have been specifically engineered for installation in cans and other tight spaces. Please give us a call at 877.305.0898 and one of our technical experts will be happy to help you.
Question : What is an LED?
Answer : LED stands for Light Emitting Diode. LEDs produce light differently, and more efficiently, than incandescent and fluorescent lamp types. LEDs emit light when an electric current is applied to a semiconducting chip. When electrons and holes (charge-carriers) interact, the electrons give off light and fall into a lower energy state. These chips have evolved to be capable of producing powerful, efficient light, capable of over 100 lumens per watt. LED color quality has also evolved, allowing us to match the colors and dimmability of incandescent lamps.
Question : What about our prices and product quality?
Answer : Buying factory direct from Greentorch allows you to purchase the highest quality LEDs at the lowest prices, bringing you the best overall value. We use the newest and most powerful CREE LEDs in almost all of our LED products. Don’t be fooled, other LED companies will give false promises and statistics about light power, light quality, and product lifespan. When you buy from Greentorch, you can be assured that you will get a superior product at an excellent price, which we guarantee will perform to the specifications we have provided. All of our LEDs are backed by a two-year full replacement warranty when operated in accordance with the correct product application.
Question : What is CRI?
Answer : CRI stands for Color Rendering Index, which is used to determine a light’s accuracy in rendering different colors when compared to a reference light source with the same correlated color temperature. The index ranges from 0 for a low-pressure sodium vapor lamp, to 100 for a source like an incandescent light bulb. The higher the CRI, the better the visual perception of colors.
Our products typically carry a 5 year warranty though on certain items the warranty is longer. All products are guaranteed to be new, and free from defect. Batteries carry a 5 year prorated warranty.
